Postgraduate Studies

Before entering this career, I had many ideas in my head about my future. I always had the restlessness and the desire to study sociology and for things of life, I heard that in the university that enters in the first instance (Universidad Católica) they teach a master in Sociology. If I apply for the course or not, I don't know yet, but at least there is a possibility.  However, it’s not the only thing I would like to learn after leaving this university. I like the world of gastronomy too. As I was a vegetarian for a while, I had to learn to cook many things, because in my house nobody else was a vegetarian and I had to take care of my food, as appropriate, since it was a decision I made. Anyway, I realized that cooking is something that fascinates me to do, so continuing to explore the gastronomic world from practice also attracts my attention a lot. I would take different courses of short duration, I wouldn’t do it in a professional way, because it implies a lot of time a

My future job

Image
A few years ago I worked in an accounting office, my job was to analyze accounts and make the financial balances of some companies and it was the most boring job in the world. In fact, it was at that moment that I realized that I don’t want to have a relationship with the world of finance and I decided to study journalism, looking for something that I was passionate about and more dynamic in terms of work. It wouldn't bother me in the future to return to an office as long as it has nothing to do with the world of finance. My ideal work would have to be directly related to journalism, in the field of culture, since it’s something that fascinates me. Criticizing music albums would be fantastic, it would be what would suit me the most, since I do it for mere pleasure, I wouldn't mind earning if they paid me little to do what I like the most. To carry out this work, I would have to continue to specialize in the field of musical culture and always continue to explor

The best album you´ve ever heard.

Image
It’s very difficult for me to choose the best music album I have ever heard, because I’ve heard many musical genres. But if I have to name one in the first one that I think is in the "Piano Bar" by Charly García . That blew my head for a long time, it’s 38 minutes of pure genius and it’s perfect. And the sessions recorded live are even better, I recommend that you listen to it. Another great album and one of my favorites is “Corazones" by Los Prisioneros , it marks an almost total change in that band, there is a before and after since that album came out. Because they abandoned that punk sound inspired by The Clash, and gave themselves completely to the synthesizers in the purest Depeche Mode’s style, without abandoning, obviously, the lyrics loaded with social messages. In 2014 I had the opportunity to listen to that album live, Jorge Gonzalez the singer and leader of the dissolved band was full of energy on stage, it was a great experience to live that moment, es

The best movie you´ve ever seen

Image
When the people ask me about my favorite movie, a lot of names come to mind, it's a difficult question. I think in the films of the argentine director Eliseo Subiela, such as The Dark Side of the Heart or Man Looking to the Southeast. I really like them because there are references to artists like René Magritte or Mario Benedetti, in addition the music is made by musicians like Fito Paez and Pedro Aznar, I love them. What I like most about movies is that they have a good soundtrack, so I love movies like Trainspotting or Velvet Goldmine. I could say that they are my favorites if I only take into account the soundtrack. I still remember when it was  announced that Traninspotting would have a second part after 20 years, the premiere coincided with my birthday and it was great. When I went to the cinema I was excited as with the first part, the story and the central song of the movie (Dreaming of Blondie) are still in my head. Anyway, choosing a single movie will always be

The best holidays/concert I've had

Image
On December 15 of last year was the Morrissey show in Santiago. He was the vocalist of The Smiths (they are from Manchester), but they are separated and now Morrissey has a solo career. I took this picture on the day of the concert . It 's a photomontage of the singer lighting a cigar to James Dean, the actor who died tragically and whose death is surrounded by mystery. That day coincided with my sister's birthday, she was a little angry because I would not be with her in her day, besides, I had already gone to a show of him in 2015. However, she understood it later.  It was a great day, my friends, Andrea and Diego, were so excited. Later when the show ended, we went to the Blondie Club, a place that plays alternative music in Santiago (and one of my favorites places in this city), where you could enter for free with the ticket of the show. It had been a musical special of The Smiths and Morrissey (obviously) and we danced all night those sad songs that we love.

A country I would like to visit

I would like to know England. First, because I like many of the musical bands that are from that place, so going to a concert of some local band would be great and on the other hand, I really like football so I attend a Premier League match would be great. In addition, it would be wonderful to know the museums, castles and other buildings that England has. The first city I would like to know is Manchester and I would take a picture at the mythical Salford Lads Club, a mandatory stop for all The Smiths fans. In addition, as I like football and I am a follower of Manchester City Football Club, I would go to a Mancherter Derby, one of the most important games for the club since the two teams from the same city face each other. In addition, of all the attractions that England has, I am interested in practicing English, so it is the best place to do it.
